  • 2010

The rapid change in technology and transition to digital print and online messaging helped the company grow in efficiency, experience and capability. In 2016, Brush Art’s third generation began working at the agency. Marketing campaigns include online metrics and measurables which drive internet traffic and promote sales for our customers.

In 2017, Brush Art acquired Sun Graphics in Parsons, KS, and Donlevy Lithograph in Wichita, KS, and established The Brush Group. The employee number now is close to 97 members of the workforce.

    2000

As media planning and technology evolved, the marketing process was less mechanical and more digital. Brush Art started working with state governmental programs, including the Women, Infant, Children (WIC) Program. Brush Art’s outstanding design talent and ability to provide flexible services and solutions proved valuable to the program’s success. In 2000, Tim Brush was appointed President and CEO, Tom Brush to Vice President of Sales, and Heidi Doane to CFO.

In 2006 and 2007, Brush Art was added to the Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Companies. While very proud of this award, intentional, measured growth has always been a strength at Brush Art. The company has grown and expanded, while still providing effective marketing to our clients. Due to this, Brush Art has multiple clients that have been with the company for over 30 years.

Over the next 5 years, the second generation, Heidi, Tim and Tom, joined the company. Since day one, family values have always been at the center of the Brush Art standards.

The Brush Art client base began to expand outside of the ag industry and into technology, construction, and governmental, to name a few. Working with Caterpillar dealers expanded the scope into all fifty states and Canada. Brush Art became an integrated advertising agency and publishing firm, serving a broad range of business-to-business and business-to-customer clientele. Brush Art Corporation is a licensee of Caterpillar Inc.

  • 1970s – 1980s

The development of decals, literature and placing ads in publications composed the core services of Brush Art in the early days. Production was labor intensive, including creative, copy writing, customer service, photography, media buying and accounting. During the 1980s, Brush Art was an established business in the small community and had grown to 6 employees. Work shifted from one off projects to the development of marketing programs.

    1962

Brush Art Corporation was founded in 1962 by Doug and Kay Brush, working out of an apartment in Lawrence, Kansas. Doug was a sophomore in college when he decided to start the company. Doug and Kay soon moved back to their hometown of Downs, Kansas, where the Brush Art main office is still located. The advertising agency began with design and some printing and manufacturing.  Some early clients in the ag industry including Orthman Manufacturing, Sunflower Mfg., and Landoll Corporation.

Industries We Serve
